On some level are we recreating our childhood wounds of no matter what I do, Mommy or Daddy is not capable of loving me, wanting me, cherishing me. Do we put ourselves back into what feels familiar in hopes of getting the unavailable person to magically open up and love us. And while we're wasting our time on the hopelessly unavailable/unatainable we miss out on opportunities for something more real and substantive. Do we like the longing for love more than the actual experience of loving someone with all its reality/boredom, mundane, real life normalcy that brings us back to the place that no one can be The Source of Love for us except Love/God/Spirit itself??? P. S. To the anxiously attached, loving and caring for a dog can be a Godsend. So can tending a garden, an art form, creating a community event, visiting elders and really listening to them, enjoying solitude, pouring our love into writing, cooking, teaching, being so many forma a life can take. I was in this Situation for a year and 6 months. Funny it hurts now looking back but it didn’t hurt then. I was hopeful. And it’s funny cause while you’re going through it, you don’t really realize it fully until you get out and look back. He came to me with roses, he’s the one who approached me only to keep me unsure even when I asked for certainty he would tell me, “ I’m not sure about many things in my life” and I thought we could go through it together… he wasn’t sure about me either. It hurts now it didn’t hurt then. I’m so glad I got out cause I had tried many times but he would come back and do some over the top love stuff. I hope he finds love that he’s sure about, that he wants to spend time with.

Beautiful, truly beautiful, mind opening and inspiring but in today’s world why are still seeing it from the woman’s point of view still?, why is the “woman” still the victim? It’s kinda like every romantic movie on Netflix.

OH MY GOSH! This hit home so hard. For years I have been head over heels for this guy who treated me like this. He would hook up with me and say sweet things and then ghost me or say he wasn't ready for a relationship. Then months later he would contact me and tell me about the girlfriend he broke up with and the cycle would start again. I always kept thinking "Why am I not good enough for him?" I can't believe I let this happen for so long. Finally I stood up for myself and said he was too old to act like this and it hurts every time he does this. He made me feel like I was the bad guy for calling him out. I realized that I liked the made up this idea of this guy. This person who I thought was amazing and in reality he was just using me for his ego and didn't even see me as a human being.

I’ve been in that guy’s shoes. I didn’t even realize I was that bad until after 3years of back and forth and she’s crying and telling me this is the last time and she actually meant it.

great horror film, but the real horror here is the husband....even though you don't see him, the first few minutes of his introduction even as a side character is very noticeable....seems like a pos. The woman should not have to do everything! He's lazy, rude, and expects everything despite giving nothing

Let's be real. They didn't have positive impact on your life. They didn't make you a better person. You just had attachment issues and scared to lose something you once loved. You made them seem more valuable than they actually were. Don't waste anymore time. There's someone better waiting for you. Be true to yourself, be true to your feelings and be true to the other one. Don't think of the outcome. The right person will see through your antics and like you. Don't make love a game to win. Don't fear sadness. Sadness on solid ground can't cause much damage, rather it makes you wiser, but happiness on weak scripted grounds might blow off sooner than you expect. Unless you both are shallow then that's a compatibility. It's hard to find a solid partner and it's for your own good, development. We might feel dejected but somewhere we know our standards are too deep or we are different. Yeah, only if you walk the talk

Saw a part of me within her. I ended a 6 month situationship with a guy 13 yrs older where for every night that we spent together i was still friendzoned by him until he decides to be unpredictable, avoidable and won't call me anymore then leave me on read and would say things like "you're everything to me", tell me to bear HIS CHILD. The women he cant spare a min on phone! I used the ghost protocol. I'm still healing but i think i got off early. Im glad for the experience!

To all the people watching this Its not that easy as it seems to let go or let them go. Its really a struggle on both ends . I've been going through the after phase of ending it and truthfully it feels like never ending. Everyone blames the avoidant attachment type personality and i was the one in my relationship of 5 years , she was the anxious one giving all of it . Yes i took it for granted which i realised after some months , tried to change myself but it comes from inside anyhow , the avoidance , rudeness , emotionally less available, keeping walls up , not caring enough , no possessiveness. I can't love her the way she hopes me to give love someday. I love her the way i know giving all through the acts of services , giving time, affirmations , boosting self confidence, healing her insecurities but it wasn't enough. It just can't happen , no matter how i tried i always felt short for her. I honestly being with her thought sometimes that maybe if i had more emotional availability, she would've been much happier getting what she deserves. Person of anxious attachment type loves you more period. She kept hoping until after a month of silent phase she decided to let go off me , no matter how much she loved and finally choose herself over me . And i did let her go this time because i can't keep holding her happiness and i know she deserves to get her love reciprocated in multiples. I understand i would be going through dark phase blaming myself thinking i didn't give it all not realising thats all i could do giving all what i had trying everyday to make her life better instead making it miserable that she had to leave . I really think if i had much gratitude, it would've been enough for her just to stay.
